I wrote a short post over at my emillions blog about Mark Joyner’s new Integration Marketing:

http://www.emillionsblog.com/integration-marketing-by-mark-joyner

it’s definitely worth checking out (not just the book, but the sales process). There’s a lot to be learned. I’ve also included a short “snippet” from an interview I personally conducted with him a while back on the topic of Integration Marketing.

Check the interview out:

1. Make sure the title of your ad is eye-catching. Think about what would stand out to the person that is looking for your products. Be sure to make it clear what your product is, but try to do it in an interesting way.

2. In the title try to use words that would be great search terms. For example, if you sold ebooks on selling life insurance, be sure to put a related term, such as “life insurance” and “ebooks” into the title.

3. In your description of the product be very exact in what it is and include as many details as possible. The more information the better, as this will hopefully catch the interest of more people.

4. Use photos and clip art to increase the chances of sales. The more professional looking your ad is the better it will sell. Often this is due to the buyer feeling more confident in your product or service than is someone who doesn’t use pictures. If you have a digital product, hire a graphic designer to help create an ecover for you.

Okay, I’ve began using Twitter 2 days ago and already I’ve seen some pretty incredible results

    24 Hour Update

    • 370 new followers
    • 60 unique visitors

Not bad, considering all those are free traffic, all from just the first day!

    48 Hour Update

    • 500 followers (<--estimated)
    • 349 unique visitors

    72 Hour Update

    • 647 unique visitors

So, 647 extra free traffic in three days, all from spending a few minutes each day Twittering. Not bad.

Looks like Twitter is the new Facebook? Is this the future of Internet marketing?

What’s your opinion? Leave your comments :)

One thing that we do need to mention is hat the market that you face is likely to be much different than the market that someone else faces. The goals that you have in comparison to the goals of someone else are much different. In fact, you are sure to see yourself striving for benefits that are not on target for your business.

First off, take a step back, out of the picture and look at your market.

If you are selling on the internet, look at the other sellers.
If you are a small local business owner, step back and look at your local market.

Whatever you are doing, step back.

    To Consider Now

The market that you work in is very dependant on who your customers are. If you are looking for immediate success, just opening your doors can help you to get started. But, in looking at your market, you can better see several things.

Ask yourself and answer these questions before moving forward.

    • Who is my customer? The seniors or the children, the business women or the business owner…determine who your customer is.
    • How do they find you? Do they find you online, through a simple web search? Do they need to find you through an affiliate link? Do they find you in their local area, in one of the most popular areas in the city?
    • Who else is out there? Who is your competition? Where are they located? What do they offer that allows you to better them? How do they better you in your marketplace? Why are they open, pulling business away from you?
    • What do you offer that is better, in some way, then the other guy? What do they offer that is better in some way than you?
    • Where is your market going? Is the economy growing, stalling out, or is it holding steady? What amount of money do your customers have to spend on your product?

You can go on and on with things that you should be considering about your own specific business. Understanding your market is crucial to understanding what your future is.

If you do not know who your consumer is, then how do you know how they are changing?

In addition, you need to know what to expect to get from the market around you. If you find that the economy is slipping, it may be quite necessary to pull back and to instead look to the future in a different way.

If you look at your market and see that your competition has taken your product in a different way and is having success with that, you need to make a move. How do you compete? What will you offer that is better? In addition, how will you take the next step into success? How will you better them?

    Paying Attention Counts

By paying attention to your market, you will make better decisions. When you look towards the long term goals that you have in place to keep your business up and running, you need to make sure that your market is one of the top priorities that you have.

If you do not invest time in keeping yourself in that marketplace, or even expanding out of it, you can not and will not make things work. The business can not grow or stay green without a constant watchful eye on the market around you.

There is no doubt that some of these things are essential to do but some may be hard to do as well. Yet, if you do not invest the time that it takes to analyze and understand the customer that you have, how in the world will you make it work?

Again, you have the ability to hire someone to do this work for you. But, you can and you should consider not only doing this but also helping yourself with your own research and know how.

Being a physical presence in your marketplace (even on the web) helps you to make sure that people can come to you. It allows you to see your market first hand and therefore make good decisions.

That’s what John Reese famously said. Banner ads are the most overlooked goldmine on the internet when it comes to traffic generation.

    So what are banner ads?

Banner ads are are basically those images you see on websites. They use to be very popular during the dot-com boom. During the dot-com boom, whenever you go to a website, you’ll always see a lot of flashy banners over the place. But after the dot-com boom busted, banner ads became really ineffective. It was said to have a very low click-through-rate, when in fact, it is quite effective.

Most advertisers stay away from banner ads because of its poor reputation and poor effectiveness. But actually, it’s one of the best way of getting dirt cheap visitors - ideal for those on a budget. I still remember during dot-com boom where banner ads soared as high as 100 per 1000 impressions (CPM), but since the dot-com boom busted, a lot of people left behind the idea of using banner advertisements.

And now you can get banner ads dirt cheap, dirt dirt cheap, as low as just $0.2 per 1000 impressions. Some excellent banner advertisement sites you can go to are:

You can also use banner networks, which are quite effective as well. You are just basically swapping banner impressions with another banner advertisers. So if you display 1000 impressions on your website, then your banner ads will be displayed on other people’s website for 1000 impressions. It is like swapping in a network.

Unlike pay-per-click marketing, banner ads are paid dependent om impressions, in other words, the number of times it is displayed. So the higher the click-through-rate, the less money you need to pay per visitor. So how can you get a high click-through-rate?

Interestingly enough, the most effective banners actually use words. They are images as file, but the images has words on it. Some words you can use to boost your click-through-rate:

    • views
    • how to
    • discover
    • secrets
    • new

Reverse psychology also works quite good. For example, “Don’t click on here unless you want to make money.”

Lets talk about where you can banners designed and made for you. You can get it outsourced at places like:

I’ll talk more about outsourcing in another post - if I get enough comments or requests :)

You can also use photoshop or flash and make it yourself. Since it is just words, it should be quite simple to make it.

Let’s recap on what banners ads are: banner ads are just image advertisements that were once really popular during dot com boom, and now has been left behind and forgotten.

Post your comments and let me know what YOU think about banner advertising :)

The first step in doing internet marketing is to choose your URL. The URL is the web address that someone types in when going to a website. The URL you use for your internet marketing business is very important and must be chosen carefully. The URL you use must have your most important keywords in the URL whenever possible. If you are offering televisions, you should absolutely have the word “television” in your URL. Unless your business is already established, you have the ultimate freedom in what your business will be called. If your business already exists, you are more limited as to what URL you choose. You have specific goals to consider when deciding on a domain name (URL):

    1. Is it easy for your customers to remember?
    2. Are any of your keywords in it?
    3. Does it properly reflect your business?

As you develop (or have developed) your website, make sure you name the pages accordingly. If you have a page dedicated to Phillips televisions, the pages URL should be something like PhillipsTelevisions.com. Take special care when creating pages to ensure that your keywords are in the URL. Search engines look at individual page URLs and use that as one of the many factors in ranking a page for keywords.

The most important aspect of your domain name: You must check to see if your domain has ever been used by someone else. If your brand new domain name was used for spam or unethical internet practices, it will be extremely difficult to get it indexed in the major search engines. This is not an issue you want to deal with. Check out your potential domain name at http://www.archive.org and see if it has ever been owned. If it has been owned, take a look at the archives to see if someone was breaking any rules with this domain. Trust me; you will thank me if you find out that it has been abused in the past. There is no reason to make search engine optimization harder on us if we can avoid it!

Here’s an excerpt from a recent interview I conducted with multi-millionaire Steve Renner. He’s the guy who went from construction worker to making $60 million dollars online with over 250,000 affiliates! I’m sure he knows one or two things about making money online and internet marketing strategies :)

    —————- —

Steve Renner: …the key to really, really, really make money online is that you need to make a small amount of money from a lot of people. Making money online, if you’re selling $10 ebooks or $50 ebooks or something like that, you’ve got to sell a lot of ebooks to make several million dollars in sales. But, when you have a lot of people in your group that are all working with you, then it becomes really simple.

What is a million dollar business? A million dollar business is: you need to generate about $3,000 a day coming into your business, one way or another, to have a million dollar business. And that’s it.

And so, you can either go out and you can be making $3,000 of sales yourself every day, which is a lot of pressure, or have hundreds of guys that are out there where everybody is making little $5, $10, $20, $30, $40, $50 sales, it doesn’t take long to add up to $3,000 in sales volume for the day.

And so, that’s the way that you do it, and that’s what I recommend. And that’s what I highly recommend to anybody. If you’re out there just getting started, or if you’ve been online for a while and you’re really not making the kind of money online you’d like to be making, then go take a look at some viral marketing strategies. Look at how that you can team up with other people to achieve your mutual end goals, and make it happen by working together. That is the key to make money online.

Here’s a quick and simple internet marketing strategy to make money online… without your own website:

    Step 1 - Find A Product/Service To Promote

First off, find a product or service out there which you can promote by joining their affiliate program. Digital products such as ebooks and softwares tend to pay out higher affiliate commission (50% plus), since they have lower costs thus higher profit margins. You can find a list of digital products to promote from at clickbank.com.

    Step 2 - Register A Domain Name

You can register a domain name for $9 over at NameCheap.com or GoDaddy.com. Make sure that your domain name is related to the product or service you will be promoting to make money online. For example, if the product you’re promoting is called “The Ultimate Guide To Make Money Online”, then register your domain name something like UltimateGuideToMakeMoneyOnline.com. Now all you simply have to do is redirect your domain name to your affiliate link.

    Step 3 - Drive Traffic

Now all you have to do is to drive traffic to your domain name and you’ll begin to make money online! The recommended method is pay-per-click advertising. Just go to adwords.google.com, register an account, and set up your campaign. Another method is article marketing, where you submit articles to directories and have your link in the “Author’s Bio” section.

5 Internet Marketing Strategies For 2008Here we are at the start of another year. With 2007 gone and past, and 2008 upon us, here are my 5 internet marketing strategies to make money online for 2008:

Internet Marketing Strategy #1 - Videos

With Google having bought YouTube for $1.65 billion and technology advancing, videos is without a doubt the next BIG THING for 2008. Online video marketing and using videos on your websites & sales letter is the internet marketing strategy to go.

Internet Marketing Strategy #2 - Facebook/ Social Networking Sites

Facebook is THE social networking website right now -it is the new Myspace. With evaluations in the range of $10-$15 billion, Facebook should definitely be something you shouldn’t ignore. Go out there and start marketing on Facebook, start your own group, build your friend list (aka subscriber list), develop your own viral applications - heck, they even have their own pay-per-click advertising now.

Internet Marketing Strategy #3 - Provide Value

With the market getting more and more nosier, more and more saturated as the days go past, it becomes much harder and harder to make money online. You must position yourself as the expert and start doing more than what is expected by providing value. Hype, junk products, even “okayish” products are no longer going to work. You must provide real value, overdeliver and MAKE AN IMPACT.

Internet Marketing Strategy #4 - Blogging

Blogging will become the new internet marketing strategy to dominating niche markets and becoming the celebrity/expert. Content is KING!

Internet Marketing Strategy #5 - Going Offline

Yes, offline. That is the golden key. As people are receiving more and more emails each day, email marketing is becoming less and less responsive. You need to stand out from the crowd. Internet marketing will need to be both online AND offline in 2008.

There you have it - my 5 internet marketing strategies to make money online in 2008.

    Take care,
